Has anyone heard of adding supertweeters for the LS3/5A? What do you think? Here's a photo from our HK counterparts:

I like to think I have an open mind. However "If it aint broke don't fix it" Looks to me like that thing would scream like a litttle girl!

After looking longer at the Rogers LS with super tweeters, I'm beginning to see it looking like a B&W CDM 1. Screammmm!!

Well to be fair I never heard a super tweeter with the LS3/5A.

I've not heard one myself. Offhand it would seem that it would probably sound like "jeepney audio" but I read some people find that the super tweeter adds more details and improves the soundstaging.
As for me I like the LS3/5A just as it is.

Me too. But I also think that the T27 tweeter can overstate things somewhat. Thus the need for a cool amp to control that energy. This is one of the reason(s)why I like the stromberg carlson 6V6 for this amp because it works tamer on the treb.
But to 'keep an open' mind like Dan, it would be nice to "hear" it for ourselves before making any conclusions. Who's going to HK?
