Oscar, you seem to have two stands there. Care to let us know what they are and how they interact w/ the LS?

Yes, we were comparing a heavy FSII copy and a light MDF stand of James. Interesting that the LS sings better with a lighter stand than a heavy stand which made it boomy. I know that with other users, the orig FSII makes the LS sound great ... so the sound difference we experienced may be due to slight design difference between the local vers. and the original, as well as the sand/weight specs used of which the local used the lahar (volcanic).
Using the Joki method, we also played around with the distance & height between the LS & AB-1 ... and yes, there was a difference. We discovered that one must tune it to his area until both LS & AB merges, too near or too far and you can hear the lows separating from the body. We also discovered that the LS also sounded better when placed 6' apart (C2C), and higher at least 26" from the floor.
Again, this all depends on your listening area ....
