It's quite obvious that I'm a fan of british equipment. Majority of my speakers are British. Of the 24 speaker pairs I have right now, only one isn't (Sonus Faber). I try to maintain the British theme also with the rest of my gear including source equipment. My very first british turntable was the Michell Mycro which i got in 1993 just after finishing my residency training at East Avenue medical center. A year later I sold the michell Mycro to lito Gelano then upgraded to the Gyrodeck which has been with me up to now. I have always been Intrigued by the similarities in color of the quad 11 amp and the Garrard 401 and have always thought that they were Intentional. After years of lying idle in my attic I decided to reactivate them. It has gone thru several revisions in plinth and arm matching but here are the latest photos of my record decks. Earlier pic with SME tonearms Here's the present status of my Garrard 401 My Grease Bearing Garrard 301 Oil bearing Garrard 301 and the Scottish Odyssey rp1 tonearm. Additional photos are posted at the analog dept. site: www.theanalogdept.com/rodney_eugenio.htm

Thanks Dan! It use to be fun getting them when they were cheap but prices have been going up lately. Though Just like the ls3/5a your investment is safe with them. What's amusing about these decks is that they sound great using birch plywood as their plinths same as ls3/5a's birch ply cabs.
