A first prize winner of international guitar competitions in Argentina and Brazil and a gold medalist in the 18th International Guitar Competition in Paris, Alvaro Pierri is described by the New York Times as “brilliant, sensitive and breathtaking” and by the Canadian press as “master of colors and a genuine innovator of interpretation.”

PhilAm Life Auditorium is to me one of the best concert halls I've ever listened to. Even the CCP can not equal its acoustical properties. I bet you can hear that guitar clearly even if seated in the last row. I hope some of you guys can go and tell us about it.

Oh man ... why do they have all this great artist performing in Mla ... James, you gotta tell your friends at the Arts Council to bring them here to Cebu! .... hmm, I'll try telling my Philam friends since most of them are in coop with the Organizers .... oh well, back to our LS

Right you are Dan! But is he enough of a culture vulture to do that? Besides, that's Mandaue City and beyond his powers. I'll go tell the new Mayor, but it's quite a shame the Arts Council don't do it as often like a few years back when they brought in Cecile Licad, Joseph Esmilla, and his two other colleagues Albert Tiu, and Willie Pasamba who are all accomplished musicians schooled at Julliard NY, and are based there.
When they came to perform here, it was quite a thrill for us aidiophiles because it was unplugged . No mics at all! They were only given one when they talked about their performance and coming.
