Stunning condition for a 50 year old or so preamp from Fisher.
I've got an article of this 50C that I will post here later. It's not too long and worth the read. Or maybe you have it also. They're getting rarer with the passing of time. Very seldom now in ebay. I'm keeping mine til death do us part. Whadya say ohs?

Thanks for sharing Dennis! Please keep us updated on the restoration process. I restored my Quad II's too but wasn't able to document them in pictures.

Yep .. I had fun restoring my 50C as well (see pics in my post for results), a lot faster than how James did it though who had fun with those Glo ?? P're, we should match up our 50s one of this days. I like both the 50s & 400CX2 .., depends on the mood which one to play.

That's ok David, it was a well done job indeed. A big part of the fun is sourcing the parts to restore the amp to it's original state. I am for the "restoration" rather than "modification" camp as well.
