HI all my friends
I recalled the happy day we had when you visited Hong Kong. Time really flies. The gatherings were already three years ago :-)

Hello John & welcome to our site. Yes it was indeed good to get to know our fellow audio lovers in HK. It was a very good experience for us and we hope to share information and insights in our new forum with all lovers of music and audio.

May I introduce dd845, David, who is my friend. Don't miss his place. His LS3/5A set up is great which digs out all the potential of the LS3/5A

Hi John ... how time flies!! I can still vividly remember when we first did the HK Audio Crawl. After hearing the first time your collection, I easily convinced Grant to come with me again to HK. I was happy that Francis & Mickey could come too. Thanks so much to you, Richard and Allan, its an experience I will always cherish.
Welcome David!! WOW, very impressive collection!!! Congratulations!

Hi David, looks like a wall of speakers for a big concert But seriously, can you seriously. Can you give us a rundown on the types/brands you have and which is your favorite of the bunch?

Hi David, looks like a wall of speakers for a big concert But seriously, can you seriously. Can you give us a rundown on the types/brands you have and which is your favorite of the bunch? After the speaker placed at proper position, I found performance of every LS3/5A, even a 11 Ohm surprisingly nice and stunning.

Thanks for the shot of your room. Is your spacing about 6' center to center of the LS and may I know the height of your stands?

You right£¡ 6' approximately, I am using Foundation II stand, and it is the MUST for LS3/5A, I found 30% tremendous differences before/after coupled with FDII... ;D ;D

FSII stands are hard to find nowadays. Here we use stands with a similar look to the FSII but I'm sure the tonality imparted is different from that of the original. I've also constructed an IF-inspired stand using local hardwood found only in old houses that are being demolished already. The height to the base is 29' which I find to reduce the thickness of the mid-lo bass and opens up the mids of the LS.

2005 HK trip brought me to Richard's new shop Gnostic, where he showed me development of a new pre-amp. Beautiful place with great drinks & great music played... a must visit place. Thanks again Richard for the warm hospitality! One can't stop admiring his collection, and there are more along the stairs:
